One-line description
StackJack: five hands of 21, one clock — a fast, fair card puzzle for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Short description
Cards arrive one at a time. Tap a column to play each card and build five stacks as close to 21 as you can without going over, then Stand — every second left on the clock multiplies your score. StackJack adds a Daily Deal for the whole world, Weekly twists, a Run mode with fifteen retro-futurist Gadgets, an Endless mode, local Duels and challenge codes that deal identical decks.
Long description
StackJack first appeared on the App Store in 2012 as a timed mix of solitaire and twenty-one. Version 2.0 is a ground-up rebuild in native SwiftUI for iPhone, iPad and Mac, wrapped in a 1950s atomic-age look from the same studio as Wavy Navy and the Planetary Broadcast Network.
The core is unchanged: five columns, one card at a time, a target total and a clock. Totals are hidden by default, so keeping count is part of the skill. Around it, StackJack 2.0 builds a daily habit and a deeper game: a Daily Deal with one ranked try and a spoiler-free share grid; a Weekly Challenge with two rule twists that change every week; Run, an eight-round mode with boss rounds and a pick-one-of-three Gadget after each round; and Endless, a clockless survival mode where each 21 pays out a perk.
Fairness is the design principle. There's no energy system, nothing purchasable affects play, every Daily deck is checked to be beatable, and after each round the game shows the best total that deck allowed. Challenge codes and local Duels deal identical decks and identical Gadget offers. StackJack has no betting, chips or prizes — it's about speed and arithmetic.
StackJack is free to play. A one-time StackJack Plus purchase removes ads between games forever, and buyers of the original 2012 game get Plus free. The original 2013 rules are included as an option.
